Advanced gas turbine technology will become the kernel and key technology of national defense, energy resources and power system in 21 century. With the rapid development of computational fluid dynamics and in addition of both computer hardware and software, numerical analyse; the simulation have become more and more important. Combustor is a key part of gas turbine,whose performance is directly linking to its lifespan and power output. Applying numerical sinlulation to design combustor can improve its riability, reduce the cost and protect the environment by dispersing less pollutant, taking an important step in developing gas turbine. Energy technology will also enormously promote the development and translation of high and new technologies in correlative field.The modeling and CFD analysis for transition piece in this thesis, supported by National High-Tech R&D Program of China (863 Program). The numerical simulation is carried out to study its flow field and to supply reference for future advancement design. The main work of this paper can be stated as follows:(1) Numerical simulation of transition piece of flow in gas turbine combustor were studied, and established equations of mathematical physics.A. Applying a modifiedκ-εturbulence model to calculate the turbulence parameters in the transition piece.B. Applying the algorithm SIMPLE method to solve the set of discretized equations.(2) Due to its complicated structure,3-D model is created by CATIA V5R17 and then meshed in ICEM with unstructured grids. The numerical simulation is based on the SIMPLE algorithm in Fluent. In this thesis, the mathematical models for turbulent diffusion are developed based on the characteristics of the diffusion. Theκ-εturbulence two equation model is applied to predict the real flow, while scalar transport model is used to describe the mass transfer in fluid systems.(3) Basic principles of experimental designs, we structured the orthogonal table and uniform table for the transition piece surface diameter. Flow field analysis by soft Fluent, the results evaluated by regression analysis.Results from this thesis conelude that numerieal simulation was applied to study combusting flow in the transition piece of combustor. With the conclusion which is generated in the former part, the effect of the temperature of the transition piece field is studied. And the acting capability of gas. The results of simulation provide the reference for the modelling and refrigeration design for advanced transition piece of gas turbine combustor.
