| China has a vast territory.Due to different geographical features,different habits and customs have been formed,and traditional residences present various shapes and forms.Meanwhile,traditional residences contain local traditional culture,so studying traditional residences will let us know local customs and conditions.Traditional residential building techniques in various areas are relatively important historical and cultural heritage in local area,and they represent the adaptation and utilization of the local people to the nature and reflect extremely high wisdom.The building type of stone kiln plays an decisive role in the development history of Chinese residences,and it is the crystallization of wisdom of local working people.With the development of economy and technology as well as the spread of modern civilization,traditional dwellings and construction techniques are constantly colliding with modern residence ideas.Due to low cost,short construction period and other advantages,modern dwellings gradually go into people’s vision and are accepted by people.Traditional dwellings and construction techniques are considered as the symbols of poverty and backwardness,so they gradually fade from people’s vision.In the process of vigorously developing modern dwellings and materials,people ignore the regionality and tradition,traditional construction techniques as well as architectural culture.Traditional dwellings and construction techniques are slowly declining.Therefore,it is urgent to refine and optimize traditional dwellings and construction techniques,so as to make traditional dwellings appear in people’s vision again with a new posture.Through surveying and mapping building techniques of traditional stone kiln in Laoniuwan Village,Qingshuihe County,Hohhot,visiting craftsmen and questionnaires,this paper will carry out the research in five aspects.Ⅰ.The historical context,surrounding environment and climate and meteorology of Laoniuwan Village are studied,so as to thoroughly understand local natural environment and local customs,and explore the correlation between natural landform,village forms and individual dwellings.Ⅱ.The texture and layout form of Laoniuwan Village are studied,and then the siting characteristics of traditional stone kiln village is analyzed.Ⅲ.The residential monomer of stone kiln in Laoniuwan Village is analyzed from the perspective of space,material and streamline.Ⅳ.The construction mode of stone kiln dwellings is studied and explored,aiming to sort out the most authentic and accurate construction techniques and construction process data,and this is the core part of the whole paper.V.The protection and inheritance of stone kiln building skills in Laoniuwan Village are studied,and feasible implementation plans are put forward based on the analysis of the current situation,and then they are optimized from the perspective of village planning.Traditional villages contain traditional life model and culture as well as thousands of years of local traditional flavor.Therefore,its value is far from that of modern urban architecture.Laoniuwan Village is listed as the third batch of national traditional villages by the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development,with a long history of culture.At present,the renewal and development intensity of Laoniuwan Village is not particularly large,and the original village texture and construction skills are well preserved.Therefore,it is of great significance to explore the characteristic culture and special construction techniques of the traditional settlements in Laoniuwan Village,retain local customs,inherit the essence,and build a living environment which is suitable for the modern life of traditional courtyage-style stone occlusion kiln village in Qingshuihe County.These studies break the superficial understanding of the original villagers about the stone kiln,and let the local villagers truly realize the importance of the stone kiln.The villagers have a deep understanding of the type of stone kiln dwellings and construction techniques,which can play a positive role and have a significance in the subsequent optimization and repair. |
