Currently,forms and language of the West art are affecting the values of global art and design.The architectural culture in our country as one of the manifestations of the artistic values also invaded by West art.Globalization development brings the challenges to our local culture is also severe,At the same time,large-scale construction in our country is increasing,excessive speed of construction resulting architect neglect geographical factors in the design process.To a large extent,there is convergence on architectural works.In contrast,China’s traditional dwellings art is rich,not only had a highly developed traditional construction techniques,but also residential characteristics in many areas had a high identify and different Style.As the product of the combination of artificial environment and the natural environment,residential include many functions,for example conveying emotions,values,ideals,beliefs and ideological.Compared to other building types,residential is closer to people’s lives and reflects the local culture best.More and more people hope to find the way out of the regional architectural creation through research on residential areas.Therefore,the purpose of this article is to research through the formal language of the traditional dwellings,to evoke the architectural designer in the creative process pay attention to traditional regional culture.The central of Zhejiang is located in the central area of Zhejiang province,the regions boundary line is long,and four directions of north,south,east,or west and nearby areas influence each other.The region has a large number of high-value traditional houses,Some of houses are more complete preservation.The traditional houses as a carrier of historical and cultural heritage of the central of Zhejiang has a strong regional style and human characteristics.Recent years,because of the rapid development of economic,social and cultural,architectural style in the central of Zhejiang region,The architectural style of the region show chaos phenomenon.And new buildings are short of geographical features.In order to solve such phenomena,the papers through field investigation of the central of Zhejiang Traditional Houses(Village),combing and analysis the formal language of architectural,trying to extract and purify the geographical content of tradition and innovation,summed the suitable design techniques of the central of Zhejiang for regional architecture.The thesis is divided into six chapters: The first chapter is introduction.Account of the background,purpose and meaning,objects and content of the thesis topics.The second chapter analysis the formation conditions of Central Zhejiang’s formal language,including natural,cultural,custom background,analysis of the relationship between them.The third chapter is analyzed from a macro perspective.The Object of study in this chapter is the community construction of Central Zhejiang’s traditional dwellings,research content for the functional elements of the layout of the morphology and spatial composition.The fourth chapter is from the microscopic point of view,with the single building of Central Zhejiang as object.Extraction from layout,spatial form and external image.The fifth chapter content is based on the first two chapters.In accordance with the direction of recent years,the development of regional architecture creation,extracted the formal language of Central Zhejiang traditional dwellings and innovation geographical content,and to explore their specific practice how to apply to the creation of local architectural design practices and research.The sixth Chapter is conclusion,as well as further research and development.
