Assembly activity plays a verty important role in the production process of complex products.The assembly guidance assisted by augmented reality technology can combine virtual three-dimensional guidance information with real assembly environment,providing users with an overlapping assembly fusion environment where virtual things and real things coexistence,so that users could obtain a variety of guidance information related to assembly operation process online and in real time,thus improving product assembly efficiency and shortening assembly time significantly.Aiming at the shortcomings of traditional application of augmented reality technology in assembly process,the key technology research and application of augmented assembly guidance for complex products are carried out based on the fuselage scaling model of an aircraft and the cabin model of a complex weapon equipment.The main contents of this paper are summarized as follows:(1)According to the analysis of assembly guidance problems of complex products and the characteristics of augmented reality technology,an AR-based virtual-reality fusion assembly guidance system framework for complex products is built.Combined with the shortcomings of existing augmented assembly guidance system,a multi-channel interactive augmented assembly guidance system model for complex products is constructed.(2)According to the requirement analysis of assembly information organization and management,a multi-source assembly information model oriented to operation guidance is built.The flow of data flow from traditional multi-source heterogeneous assembly information to augmented assembly guidance system is introduced in detail from three aspects: classification,storage and acquisition of assembly guidance information.(3)A tracking registration technology based on RGB-D camera is proposed.The real-time registration between real assembly parts and their corresponding virtual models is realized by using LK optical flow method and ICP(Iterative Closet Point)method.The implementation steps and process of the algorithm are given in detail.(4)Vuforia-based augmented assembly guidance system is built with the augmented reality open source SDK,which firstly realizes the expected function of the system.Secondly,Kinect-based augmented assembly guidance system is built with the improvement of the tracking and registration theory.Finally,according to the application results,the augmented assembly guidance system is analyzed and discussed,which proves the practical value and significance of this study.
