Design Research On Campsites In Hong Kong For Urban Natural Experience

The urban form of Hong Kong is compact urban built-up areas adjacent to a large number of country parks.It has shaped the fast-changing lifestyle of people in Hong Kong between high urbanization and high naturalization.Campsites can carry leisure,communication,recreation,education and training activities in the natural environment,and is an important place to meet the natural experience of people in urban.Early development of campsites in Hong Kong followed the British model.After more than a century of development,it has become a mature and normative system with international standards and its own characteristics.The future development of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area(GBA)also needs to take the road of sustainable development of intensive use of land and three-dimensional composite construction.People's yearning for a better life,including better natural experience in urban life.Based on the same climate and geographical environment and the same roots of culture,the mature and distinctive camp system of Hong Kong can provide valuable experience and reference for the development of camp industry in the Mainland of China,especially in GBA.The first chapter is the introduction,which clarifies the purpose and significance of this study,explains the relevant definitions,and introduces the development status of the camp industry and the research status of camp design at home and abroad.The second chapter summarizes the development of campsites in Hong Kong,including basic information,historical development,geographical distribution,social drive,management operations and design-related laws and regulations.The third chapter divides 102 campsites in Hong Kong into three types of architecture: integrated camps,tent campsites and professional camps by type research,taking "positioning,site selection,planning,architectural design,landscape design,activity facilities,support system" as the research framework,selects typical campsites for case study and design analysis.The fourth chapter summarizes the four general characteristics of campsites in Hong Kong from the perspective of architectural design practice: locality,professionalism,intensiveness and efficiency,and untangles the key points of camp design and integrates them into the design framework of campsites in Hong Kong,and The enlightenment of Hong Kong camps on the design of camps in the Mainland was discussed.Camp design should adhere to the principle of adapting measures to local conditions,camp design should take account of the efficiency of use and the atmosphere of wildness,and camp design needs comprehensive support from multiple levels.The fifth chapter applies the research results to practice project of Raleigh Campsite in Guizhou.The conclusion summarizes the value of this dissertation in theory and practice.
