Hunan-Guangdong Ancient Road is an important road linking the ancient central dynasty and lingnan area.It is a comprehensive transportation network composed of several land and water transportation lines connecting Hunan and Guangdong Provinces.It directly connects southern Hunan and northern Guangdong.It plays an important role in political and military affairs,cultural dissemination,population migration,business and trade.It is an important cultural line with a long history and profound cultural heritage.The area along the ancient road has a complete education system like other areas in the country.There are government schools,state schools,county schools and other non-official educational institutions,such as academies,societies and so on.The rise of folk academies has played a great role in academic development and personnel training.This paper takes the folk academies on the Hunan-Guangdong Ancient Road as the research object,and takes the tectonic-form of the folk academies as the research content.It analyses and summarizes the relevance,causes and influencing factors of the folk academies on the Hunan-Guangdong Ancient Road.Firstly,through literature research and field investigation,this paper expounds the natural environment,historical development,route,population migration and cultural education of the Hunan-Guangdong Ancient Road,and explores the origin,development and historical distribution of the folk academies on the ancient roads.On this basis,the principles and methods of case selection were clarified,and 14 cases were selected from the remains of folk academies on the Hunan-Guangdong Ancient Road for investigation and research.Secondly,this paper studies the tectonic-form of folk academies from two dimensions: the microcosmic academy building ontology and the mesoscopic academy group space.In the case study of academy tectonic-form,the main is the ontological dimension of academy architecture at the micro level.Detailed investigation is made from the site selection,plane layout,space organization,structure form,construction method,tectonic elements and decoration of academy to obtain detailed basic information.In the discussion of the relevance of academy tectonic-form,the spatial dimension of academy group at the mesoscopic level is the main one.It includes the site selection,functional layout,entrance space,lecture space,sacrificial space,studio space,tectonic elements and decoration of the academy.The three aspects of the tectonic-form relevance of the folk academies on the Hunan-Guangdong Ancient Road are analyzed,which are similarity,regularity and gradual change.The site selection,functional layout,structural practices,building materials,architectural elements and decoration of the academy are similar.The function allocation and spatial scale of the academy are regular.The plane form,structural form and roof form of the academy are gradually changing.Finally,the causes and influencing factors of the relevance of academy tectonic-form are analyzed.The basic requirements of academy buildings make the academies similar in site selection and functional layout.Scholar culture and secular culture make the academies similar in construction elements,decoration and decoration.The reference of academy buildings to local dwellings makes the academies similar in construction practices and building materials.The different types of academies make the functions and spatial scales of academies regular.The immigration movement and multicultural exchanges made the academies change in plane form,structure form and roof form.Influenced by natural environment,humanistic society,economic conditions and other comprehensive factors,the tectonic-form of folk academies on the Hunan-Guangdong Ancient Road has produced relevance,forming a folk academy building with rich regional characteristics.Based on a comprehensive study of the tectonic-form of folk academies on the Hunan-Guangdong Ancient Road,and on the basis of a large amount of data obtained from field investigations,this paper explores the relationship between the tectonic-form of folk academies on the Hunan-Guangdong Ancient Road from the microscopic and mesoscopic perspectives,and concludes that the three aspects of the correlation of the tectonic-form of folk academies are similarity,regularity and gradual change,This paper also analyses the influencing factors from the aspects of academy architecture,humanistic society,immigration movement and cultural route,which provides a research basis for the research and protection of folk academies along the Hunan-Guangdong Ancient Road.
