Research On China-kazakhstan Energy Cooperation Under The Background Of RMB Internationalization

Energy is of great significance to economic growth and social development as natural resources and to national security as strategic resources.Economic and non-economic factors including comprehensive strength and influence of importer affect international energy activities,especially energy cooperation.Actually,achievements have been made on energy cooperation between China and Kazakhstan in the time honored both cooperation.Recently,however,the reasons why energy trade between the two sides has greatly scaled down are complex.Thus,it is of great significance to carry out the research on China-Kazakh energy cooperation under the background of RMB internationalization with improving China's economic strength and expanding trade scale.This paper is consist of five parts.The first part is introduction,including the background and significance of the topic,research reviews at home and abroad,research contents and methods,as well as originality and shortcomings of this paper.Second chapter mainly contains relative concept definition and theoretical analysis,.Third chapter covers the status quo of China-Kazakh energy cooperation under the background of RMB internationalization,mainly including the background of RMB internationalization,the analysis of China-Kazakh energy-financial cooperation,China-Kazakh energy trade cooperation,and the relationship between RMB internationalization and China-Kazakh energy trade cooperation.Fourth part is on empirical analysis of China-Kazakh energy cooperation in the context of RMB internationalization,which covers the study of China-Kazakh energy trade cooperation based on OLS model and the analysis on economic effect of China-Kazakh energy cooperation based on VAR model.The last chapter is about conclusion and suggestions on solutions.This paper is consist of five parts.The first part is introduction,including the background and significance of the topic,research reviews at home and abroad,research contents and methods,as well as originality and shortcomings of this paper.Second chapter mainly contains relative concept definition and theoretical analysis,and makes a theoretical study of international trade activities,especially energy trade activities from the perspective of marginal theory,holding that it is possible for trade to develop further all the time when enough increase of marginal positive utility brought by trade expansion can offset the increase of negative utility.Third chapter covers the status quo of China-Kazakh energy cooperation under the background of RMB internationalization,mainly including the background of RMB internationalization,the analysis of China-Kazakh energy-financial cooperation and China-Kazakh energy trade cooperation.Fourth part is on empirical analysis of China-Kazakh energy cooperation in the context of RMB internationalization,which covers the study on influence factors of China-Kazakh energy trade cooperation based on OLS model and the analysis on economic effect of China-Kazakh energy cooperation based on VAR model.The last chapter is about conclusion and suggestions on solutions.In this paper,literature analysis,qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis are all employed for the research.First of all,existing research results are analyzed and researched by literature analysis,pointing out the research questions and objects of the paper.Next,the status quo of China-Kazakh energy cooperation is analyzed with quantitative analysis method,and then the least square method and vector auto regressive model are employed for modeling and regression analysis.According to the model results,the qualitative analysis method is finally used for the research.The main conclusions are as follows:(1)RMB internationalization develops in a zigzagging process;(2)RMB internationalization gives impetus to the energy trade between China and Kazakhstan;(3)Kazakhstan is dependent on China-Kazakh cooperation on energy trade;(4)The reforms in China and Kazakhstan impact negatively traditional energy trade in a short-term;(5)China-kazakh energy trade plays a greater role in China's economic growth than Kazakhstan's;(6)There is broader development space for China-Kazakh energy cooperation.Finally,some suggestions are put forward for the further development of China-Kazakh energy cooperation.
