China has a vast territory and multi-ethnic coexistence.Different regions have born their own unique residential styles.Traditional dwellings are subject to the construction of technology,geographical environment,human history and so on.They truly and profoundly express the connection between dwellings and local natural conditions and humanities and society,reflecting the living habits of local residents.As a model of harmonious coexistence between architecture and the surrounding environment,traditional dwellings have always adhered to the concept of building a natural and people-oriented concept.Whether it is the concept of traditional dwellings and architectural techniques,it has the essence of modern architecture.Industrialization has brought architecture to a new stage.More efficient building technology,more precise building components and a more systematic construction process will make the process more precise.However,in addition to these advancements,the architectural style has become the same,the building has lost its vitality,and the original architectural style and cultural heritage of the city have been destroyed to a certain extent.Based on the theory of architectural phenomenology,this paper studies the universal traditional residences in Weibei Area from the perspectives of phenomenology and perceptual phenomenology,and recognizes the essence of residential.Explore how traditional residences in Weibei Area live in harmony with the surrounding environment,how to create buildings that can be truly perceived by the body,and discover the implications of overcoming the crisis of modern architecture from the study of traditional dwellings.This article is divided into four parts:The first part is the introduction chapter.There are five subsections,which are the origin and background of the research,the scope and object of the research,the research dynamics,the purpose and significance of the research,the research methods and framework.The second part is the theoretical foundation chapter,which outlines the theoretical basis of the research development-architectural phenomenology.It is described from the beginning of the birth of phenomenology to the combination with architecture,and finally developed into two major branches of phenomenology and phenomenology of perception.It introduces the representative figures and works of two architectural phenomenological thoughts and analyzes the similarities and differences between the two.The third part is the study of residential houses,including the third chapter,the fourth chapter and the fifth chapter.The third chapter introduces the natural environment and human history of the northern part of the country,and shows its influence on the shape of the building,the layout of the courtyard,and the selection of materials.The fourth chapter startsfrom the theory of phenomenology of the place,and interprets the traditional dwellings in Weibei Area with the core of “dwelling”,“building” and “place”.The fifth chapter is based on the perspective of perceptual phenomenology,based on the perception of various senses,to experience the concept and skill of the traditional residences in Weibei Area.The fourth part is the result of the research,including the sixth chapter and the conclusion part.It talks about the enlightenment that can be brought to modern architecture from the traditional dwellings in Weibei Area,mainly for material selection,use of light and shadow,and tolerance for sound.Revelations and aspects that modern architects should pay attention to.The paper generally studies the theory with the combination of practice,first summarizes the theoretical basis of supporting research,and then applies the theory to practice research.
