A Research On The Supportive Policies Of New Energy Automobile Industry In United States

Environmental protection and energy security have gradually become a highprofile globalization issue with the rapid development of the global economy.At present,most countries in the world have agreed to further achieve environmental protection and energy security by reducing carbon dioxide emissions and replacing new energy sources that are more in line with human sustainable development principles.In order to seek better economic development and enhance its own international competitiveness,it is imperative for countries to explore and use new energy.Both China and the United States are big countries in automobile production and consumption.Among them,the new energy automobile industry in the United States has established and implemented a series of relatively complete industrial policies due to its early start,and has already taken the lead in the world.In contrast,China’s new energy vehicle industry started late,and there are still some shortcomings in the formulation and implementation of industrial support policies.Therefore,research on the support policies of the new energy automobile industry in the United States has certain reference significance for China’s development of new energy automobile industry.This paper first introduces the research background and significance,and studies the literatures of domestic and foreign scholars on the US new energy automobile industry and supporting policies,and then combs the relevant theoretical support.Before analyzing the support policies of the new energy automobile industry in the United States,it briefly discusses the objectives of the support policy,including three aspects: reducing US dependence on fossil energy,protecting national energy security,achieving energy conservation and emission reduction,and developing emerging manufacturing industries to promote domestic economic development;It introduces the evolution of the policy;then it analyzes the specific content of the US new energy auto industry support policy from five perspectives: R&D support policy fiscal tax and subsidy policy,encourage purchase policy,limit vehicle emission policy and support supporting infrastructure.Relevant policies for development.Then it analyzes the advantages and implementation effects of the US new energy auto industry support policy.After many years,these policies have positive effects,but they also have some problems.Based on the above,this paper also analyzes the future development trend of the US new energy auto industry support policy: while continuing to develop lithium battery technology,paying attention to China’s largest new energy vehicle consumer market,and seeking cooperation in competition can accelerate the development of it more effectively;at the same time,this paper believes that the Trump administration’s negative attitude towards the development of new energy automobile industry will become the biggest problem and challenge that the US new energy automobile industry support policy will face.It is necessary to consider the Trump administration to revitalize the traditional energy industry policy and make timely adjustments.Finally,after analyzing the status quo and existing problems of China’s new energy auto industry support policy,the corresponding countermeasures and suggestions are put forward in combination with the merits of the US new energy auto industry support policy.
