In order to improve the situation that China's traditional parking spaces had no vegetation cover,low ground penetration rate,and were easy to impound water,and promote the recycling and reuse of waste materials,this paper first proposed the design of nine parking spaces based on the sponge urban ecological concept and using different structures and materials.The specific methods were that:firstly,utilize gravel and coarse sand as the basal layer materials of these parking spaces and use water permeable bricks,round-hole grass planting bricks,waste plastic trays,hollow galvanized pipes,waste woods,I-shaped bricks,old and discarded tires,slope protection grids,road bricks as the water-permeable layer materials of the parking spaces;then choose stock refuse screening soil as the greening soil and construct a sump pool to collect and recycle the rainwater that could not be infiltrated in time;finally,adopt the hierarchical structure of the combination of arbor-shrub-grass to increase the overall vegetation coverage of the parking lot.After the construction of the ecological parking spaces being completed and put into use,evaluate the ecological,social,economic and comprehensive benefits of the parking spaces paved by different structures and materials and select the parking paving structures and materials with stronger applicability to provide reference for the construction of parking spaces in similar areas in the future.The results showed that:(1)Ecological benefits:the parking space combined with the waste plastic pallet and the garbage screening soil had the best vegetation growth state and obvious effect of ground cooling.The parking space of waste tires combined with garbage screening soil had the best water permeability;(2)Social benefits:the parking space combined with the waste plastic pallets and the garbage screening soil,and the parking space combined with the waste tires and the garbage screening soil were preferentially paved using waste materials.The road brick parking space was divided into a pressure-bearing area and a green area.The two parts provided a safe and green parking space for vehicles and passengers;(3)Economic benefits:the parking space combined with waste tires and garbage screened soil had the lowest construction cost;(4)Overall benefits:the parking space selecting gravel and coarse sand as the basal layer materials for parking spaces and using waste plastic trays,hollow galvanized pipes or the combination of old and discarded tires and refuse screening soil as the water permeable layer for parking spaces could yield the greatest overall benefits.The parking space designed in this way could meet the parking demand while ensuring the coverage of the ground vegetation,thereby lower the ground temperature of the parking lot and improve the quality of the surrounding environment.By enhancing its surface water permeability,the parking lot could also reduce the ground runoff.What's more,it could not only relieve the urban pressure of disposing waste materials,but also cut the construction cost of the ecological parking lot.The ecological,social and economic benefits were coordinately developed in general.Combined with the goal of ecological civilization construction and sustainable development in today's society,the design of such parking spaces should be further studied and promoted.
