The outstanding performance of BIM technology in 3D visualization,information collaboration and data management has become a hot new technology and new tool in the construction industry,and has also promoted the development of BIM technology in the basic field.Nowadays,steel box girder bridges have been used more and more widely.The traditional 2D drawings can not fully reveal the complex structure of steel box girder.In order to solve this problem,this paper attempts to apply BIM technology to the model establishment of steel box girder design stage.,carried out the following three aspects of research work:(1)Explain the basic theory of BIM and the function of BIM software.From the theoretical point of view,how to apply BIM technology in bridge design stage,construction stage and operation stage.Through the application of BIM technology,all parties involved in the project can effectively improve work efficiency,and BIM technology can create endless value advantages for engineering quality,cost,and construction period.(2)The structure design of the steel box girder BIM system is studied.Based on the AutoCAD platform,Visual LISP as the secondary development tool and OpenDCL as its interface tool,according to the structural information parameters,the two-dimensional structural diagram is obtained by programming with Visual LISP.Then on the basis of the transformation,complete the establishment of the three-dimensional model.the system uses the method of parametric design,through the size drive,inputting parameters in the user interface,the automatic generation of the two-dimensional structural drawing and the establishment of the three-dimensional model of the steel box girder can be completed,and the graphics and visualization can be realized.And the database management is researched to realize the visualization of the information of the steel box girder.(3)The rapid modeling method of steel box girder based on BIM technology is studied.Specifically,the method of drawing the elevation,plan and cross-section of the steel box girder is proposed,including contour drawing,horizontal partition drawing,web drawing and stiffening ribs drawing.On the basis of two-dimensional structural drawing,the three-dimensional model of steel box girder is completed by the functions of lofting and the like.(4)The stability and accuracy of the two-dimensional construction drawing and the three-dimensional model the steel box girder BIM system developed in this paper are verified by an example of the supporting project of the second phase of the North Central Line of Suzhou.
