Pipe belt conveyor is a special kind of belt conveyors developed from traditional trough belt conveyors. It has the advantage of sealed-up and sharp inclination transportation; three-dimensional curve lay out and both-transportation. It serves for cement plant, mine industry, power plant, steel plant, garage disposal and so on. While pipe belt conveyor has above-mentioned advantages, it puts forward higher requirements for its supporting parts (trussed girder and lattice column).Since the structure of pipe belt conveyor is very complex, it will certainly increase design calculation workload and extend design cycle if traditional manual method is applied. Finite element method is a widely used modern design analysis method in the field of structure design, and pipe belt conveyor structure tends to be analyzed with ANSYS software. Therefore, it’s significant to research model processing skill and key issues encountered in the process of pipe belt conveyor analysis, and hereby develop a pipe belt conveyor structure parametric finite element analysis (FEA) system.On the basis of studying the structure composition and types of pipe belt conveyor, the parametric equation of bending line, characteristic parameters and the load types of pipe belt conveyor is discussed. The finite element model of pipe belt conveyor structure is reasonably simplified, the parametric design language APDL of ANSYS is used for establishing the parametric finite element model of pipe belt conveyor. The trussed girder is calculated using the theoretical calculating method, then the results is compared with the results of finite element analysis, Thus proves the results of finite element analysis is reasonable. Structural static and dynamics analysis is made by using ANSYS, the strength and stiffness is checked. On the basis of the finite element analysis of pipe belt conveyor structure, develops a pipe belt conveyor structure parametric finite element analysis system by using the Visual Basic6.0and the parametric design language APDL combine with Access database. Finally, the development method, function and the method of use is introduced.On the one hand the research contents and results of this thesis have great practical values for increasing pipe belt conveyor design efficiency, and on the other hand, it provides a valid reference for the development of other similar parametric finite element analysis systems.
