Tadao Ando's Architecture Is Contradictory

The construction space of Tadao Ando often brings a feeling of coldness and silence.In his architecture,we can see a rich and flexible space interspersed.This changeable and contradictory feeling is very common in Ando's architecture.Its houses are closed like "fortresses",but they can be "integrated"with the streets;whether it is "glass brick"houses or "centra"houses,the geometric and"confrontation"of their buildings is reflected;Streamlining,the use of light elements,and the combination of nature make the contradictions more prominent.Ando,who belongs to modernism,often brings the unique spatial atmosphere and Japanese elements of the Japanese nation into his architecture;he wants to create a space for people to get in touch with nature,but his architectural boundaries are closed...These contradictory features led me to explore the reasons for the contradictions that formed Ando's architectural works.For research,we usually adopt a multi-angle and multi-dimensional approach.The research on Ando can be discussed from the aspects of the wedge environment,self-enclosure,independence and penetration,light and shadow,nature and architecture of the building.The contradictions in the building are explored.By studying the concrete manifestation of contradictions and the reasons for formation,it is possible to see Ando's thought process more clearly,and hope to help the latecomers.By using the method of pushing the essence of the phenomenon,this paper first introduces the contradictory concrete manifestation of Ando architecture(material processing,spatial processing,attitude towards nature,attitude towards society)and then combines Ando's architectural works with the contemporary background of the time.In the vertical time view and the horizontal development axis,a deeper analysis of the reasons for the contradiction of Ando's architecture.By analyzing the Western architectural culture concept and the Japanese architectural culture concept,they interact with Ando's architectural style to understand the impact and change brought by an era.At the same time,through the concept of materials selection,space interweaving,and the use of natural elements in Ando's architectural space,I created landscape design.
