Research On Community Renewal Design

Britain was one of the first countries to complete industrialization and urbanization.Many traditional communities were faced with the crisis of disintegrating social relations and losing community culture.With their declining material forms and negative ideologies,are often the fault zones that are not in harmony with the development of surrounding urban space in terms of Natural environment,site spirit and residents’ living standard.At the same time,They are also the properties product of a certain historical period during the process of urban development,the context of urban development,and as a part of the urban cultural fabric,therefore,to make the once prosperous historical streets come to life has become particularly important.With the development of social economy,people’s requirements for living environment have been continuously improved.In this context,this paper attempts to design "community renewal" for "one-pound house purchase" in garrick street,Liverpool.The renewal is mainly to realize display the diversity and complexity of housing needs of contemporary urban residents through SOHO renovation of the original community.This article hope that through such research,can have some will gain some for the research of similar "community renewal" projects in China.
