Research On The Coastal Defense Settlement Forms Of Dajin In Ming Dynasty

Settlement is the result of the interaction between human activities and nature in the specific geographical environment and social background,which can reflect the development process of politics,economy and society.The most important characteristic of coastal defense is its inherent maritime defense function.Before the Ming Dynasty,maritime defense was not yet a mature system in ancient China.After the establishment of the Ming Dynasty,the defense system was gradually formed.The year of 1387,Zhou Dexing was ordered to build Dajin which ranked first in the Fujian coastal.In 1940,the name of "Da Jin" was changed to "Da Jing".This paper takes Dajin as the research object,on the basis of combing the general situation of coastal defense in Ming Dynasty and Fujian coastal defense system in Ming Dynasty.Combining with the theoretical achievements of sociology,this paper mainly analyzes the military space form of material level and the ritual space characteristic of spiritual level in Dajin,and puts forward the corresponding protection strategy according to the problems found in the field investigation.It provides a reference for the development of modern villages that built in the Ming Dynasty.The first chapter is the introduction,mainly describes the research background and significance of the paper,through discriminating the related concept,analyzing the related domain research present situation,then determining the research content,the method and the frame of this article.The second chapter analyzes the general situation of the coastal defense in the Ming Dynasty from the aspects of sea hazards and coastal defense construction,and analyzes the characteristics of the defense system of the Ming Dynasty.The third chapter analyzes the space form of military settlement in Daj in,analyzes the location characteristics from the aspects of military defense and geomantic investigation,and describes the evolution of the formation of Dajin according to the three stages of construction.Then,it analyzes the spatial characteristics of Daj in from the aspects of street pattern and defense architecture.The fourth chapter introduces the main folk beliefs of the city from the sociological point of view,including Taoist worship,Buddhist worship,sea worship and meritorious worship,and analyzes the concentric and spiritual defensiveness of ritual space.The fifth chapter puts forward the protection strategy of settlement space according to the problems found in the field investigation.In Ming Dynasty,Dajin was an important part of the maritime defense system.Today,it stands in the form of a coastal defense settlement.The author learned from the survey and visit that Dajing Village is facing a new opportunities for the development of ancient streets.Therefore,combining literature research method with field investigation method,this paper deal with the material spatial form and spiritual folk beliefs in order to provide reference for future protection and development.
