Research On The Catholic Church Of Middle And South Hebei In Modern Times

As one of the most developed areas in China since the Ming and Qing dynasties,the south-central region of Hebei province is one of the most extensive and developed areas about the Catholic churchesin China since the Ming and Qing dynasties.It has built a large number of Catholic churches which are important parts of the modern architecture in the south-central region of Hebei.In this paper,the research is based the existing eight modern Catholic churches in the south-central region of Hebei province.And the author makes a preliminary study on the architectural characteristics of the modern Catholic church in the south-central region of Hebei.The existing Catholic churches in the region were built between 1840 and 1937 which belong to the modern era of China.Based on the collection and analysis of Catholic in the south-central region of Hebei province,this paper summarizes the route of Catholicism in south-central region of Hebei province,and researches the importance of the lazarists in the Catholic communication process.Based on the recent history of China,this paper summarizes the process of the foreign church's acquisition of building rights,and the distribution status of the churches.The author conducts field survey and mapping of existing churches,and consults relevant information with church related personnel,and then analyzes and textual research on this basis.In this paper,the author analyzes,compares and summarizes the construction stages,architectural group style characteristics,urban pattern and scale,group layout and building monomer research.The author divides the general style of the Catholic church buildings in the area and analyzed the specific influencing factors of their style formation.Next,the scale of the churches is analyzed from the perspective of urban distribution pattern.Then,the author studies the characteristics of its functional layout from the perspective of group,and its relationship with the surrounding urban fabric.The author analyzes the architectural orientation,plane shape,interior space,facade form,architectural structure and detail processing of the Catholic churches in south-central region of Hebei province from the perspective of architectural monomer and summarizes the characteristics of the Catholic church buildings in the outh-central region of Hebei province and expounds its differences with western church buildings and its adaptability in the region.Finally,this paper discusses the localization process of church architecture and explores its contemporary value.The architectural features of the modern Catholic churches in south-central region of Hebei province is the concrete embodiment of the traditional Chinese construction technology to restore the architectural features of western churches.It is the result of the exchange and collision between Chinese and western cultures in the architectural field,and the crystallization of the wisdom of the people in the south of hebei province.The architectural feature of the modern Catholic churches in the south-central region of Hebei province is that the combination of characteristics of traditional Chinese construction technology with the architectural features of western churches.This is the wisdom of the people in the south-central region of Hebei province.As a unique architectural heritage,it is the ultimate goal of the author to dig deeper into its connotation and use its value into the modern urban renewal.
