With the development of China’s economy,the rapid growth of car ownership in small and medium-sized urban residents.In recent years,the contradiction between the planning and construction of urban public car park and the growing purchasing power of automobile has become a hot spot.The problem of parking difficulty is gradually exposed,especially the simple and extensive design of urban public parking space,the low utilization rate of parking space,the efficiency of parking operation is not high.Throughout the development of parking space at home and abroad:road parking to the outside of the road parking guidance,ground parking to three-dimensional parking evolution,free parking to pay parking conversion,manual management to intelligent management upgrade.The process of its change is consistent with the trend of urban intensive development.Compared with the present situation of parking space in small and medium-sized cities in China,there is room for continuous optimization and intensive innovation in planning site selection,design and construction,and operation and management.Parking space is a part of urban public space,closely connected with urban development.Drawing on the theory of "compact city",ecological theory and sharing economy theory,this paper attempts to explore the effective way of intensive design of public parking space in small and medium-sized cities,to improve the consistency of parking demand and supply through intensive land use,intensive use of space,and to enhance the convenience and accessibility of parking.Effectively improve the economic,social and ecological benefits of urban public parking space,to achieve a compact,efficient,shared,intelligent,ecological urban public parking space construction goals.Combining with the practice of local government in the construction of urban public parking lot,this paper further demonstrates the advantages and challenges of intensive design through the case study of parking lot which has been built and under construction,especially the practical application of the Jinzhou Experimental School project to the intensive strategy of urban public parking space.In order to the small and medium-sized cities parking space construction has a certain reference role.
