Architectural Design Research For Xiamen's Coastal Restaurant Building In Experiental Consumption Mode

With the development of the experience economy,the function of catering architecture is gradually changing.Nowadays dining out is no longer a mere eating behavior.People prefer to enjoy a unique atmosphere while dining and interact with restaurant chefs or business operators to achieve spiritual satisfaction and gains.In view of this,this work took Xiamen's coastal dining architecture as the research object,and explored how to make coastal restaurant better use the coastal environment under the experience-based consumption model,and brought memorable experiences to consumers through the construction of the landscape or the architecture noumenon.Moreover,this work discussed how to integrate the unique marine culture in coastal restaurant.Firstly,this work summarized the relevant theories of experience in experiential consumption and architectural phenomenology,and pointed out that the coastal restaurants can build consumer experience from three aspects as follows:"the experience of aesthetic landscape",“the experience based on architecture noumenon”and "the experience based on dining behaviour"Secondly,combing with a large number of outstanding cases at home and abroad,respectively for the three aspects of the above experience,this work discussed the development status of coastal catering construction and strategies or techniques that can be adopted when building consumer experience.Finaily,the key research and analysis of the six restaurants located in the coastal landscape belt in southeast of Xiamen were discussed.The development status of the building customer experience was discussed and some improvement strategies or methods were also proposed.In the end,one of restaurants was chosen to be focused on optimizing design and renovation.In summary,this work analyzed and studied coastal catering building from the perspective of experiential consumption.In.addition,it also analyzed Xiamen's coastal restaurant construction and current conditions.Through the summary,it put forward some optimization ideas.It is expected that the results of this study can provide reference for the design of Xiamen's coastal restaurant building.
