Critical chain project management is the application of theory of constraint in the field of project management.Considering the logical relation of the activities of the project and the duration of each activity,the resource constraints and organizational behavior factors of the project are considered.Project practice has proved that can find out the problems and development tendency and ensure the normal development of the project design by reasonable applying critical chain project management to effective the work of the project.This is an application of critical chain project management in electric power grid design management,the project schedule management of electric power grid design will better meet the requirements of the business owner,and provides reference for similar project design schedule management.In the design of project management,the schedule,cost and quality of design work,which are interrelated and influenced each other.The design of S power transmission project as the object of study,this article studies critical chain project management in the design schedule compiled of the project and schedule monitoring of the application.By using the critical path method and critical chain project management method for the preparation of the project schedule are analyzed and compared,confirmed critical chain project management for the preparation of the project schedule can effectively shorten the design time,more superiority.By comparing the actual consumption of human resources in the case with the number of human resources planning,to verify the feasibility of the critical chain project management.The application results that compared with the critical path method,critical chain project management has more feasibility and superiority,can provide effective guidance for the electric power grid design project schedule management.
