The construction of pumped storage power station has the characteristics of complicated topography,narrow construction space,cumbersome road layout and mutual restriction between excavation and dam filling in general.Considering construction characteristics,simulation and 3D modeling of pumped storage power station,an auxiliary modeling method of excavation construction simulation is proposed based on AutoCAD secondary development to obtain the relevant position,shape and blasting parameters of 3D solid model.According to the relationship between excavation and filling for the general pumped storage power station,a simulation model describing the excavation characteristics of pumped storage power station is established,which considers the influence of topography and slag road comprehensively.The achievements in the study are as follows:(1)For the large-scale engineering of rock excavation by blasting,the object of excavation is usually described by four types of body,layer,strip and block due to its large-quantity and complexity.An auxiliary modeling method for excavation is presented based on the AutoCAD secondary development and surface geometry analysis,which solves the difficulty of the acquisition of the parameter information for excavation objects in the 3-D model.(2)According to the characteristics of structure and construction of Pumped Storage Power Station,the influence of construction road,topography,meteorological environment,the mode of excavation organization and the balance between excavation and filling on construction is emphatically taken into account in the presented study.A simulation system of excavation for pumped storage power station is developed by using C#.Net language,which realizes the orderly deployment of excavation materials in different periods and the coordination between excavation construction and dam filling by setting excavation schedules in different levels.(3)Based on the modern virtual reality technology and Unity 3D game development software,the 3-D dynamic visualization for the whole construction process is displayed vividly by adopting the modeling results of excavation.It provides an advanced method for the construction management of modern hydraulic engineering.(4)The simulation of excavation for a pumped storage power station is carried out.The excavation scheme set in the model provides a scientific reference for the reasonable formulation for the scheme of construction schedule and mechanical configuration in the actual engineering.The simulation results demonstrates the effectiveness of the excavation simulation system.
