Design On Bus Waiting Shelter In Hangzhou

Public transportation facility design plays a significant role in coordinating people and overall city environment.It is a kind of creative reconstruction of outdoor space.Waiting shelters at bus stops go through all routes from beginning to end,and are identified as a key role in public infrastructure.They reflect,to some extent,the images and civilization of a city.This paper makes research in terms of function,design and IT of waiting shelters in China,after colleting and classifying relevant materials in this topic both from inside and outside of China.Then it makes its point in definition,varieties,and development of republic environmental facilities in city and analyses the components and bus waiting shelter and its five basic rules on design.Research on systematic design of waiting shelter fall in three parts: proportion and size,design and color,material type and feature.Proportion and size analysis provides design with reference statistics.Design and color are analyzed from an artistic and aesthetic angle,to enrich ideas.The third part of research ensures scientific use of material.It takes Hangzhou city as the object,and surveys citizens when taking and waiting for buses at bus stops.It reveals the current situation of waiting shelters in Shangcheng Distric and Xiacheng District in Hangzhou and analyzes some main problems it.At the end,With all the analysis as theory basis,it proposes thinkings to optimize structure and design,basic function,supplement function,environment-friend design and IT of Hangzhou waiting shelter.This research could hopefully be referred in improving Hangzhou waiting shelter.
