Regional Design Of Horticultural Exposition Architecture From The Perspective Of Critical Regionalism

In recent years,various types of horticultural expositions have been held one after another.On the one hand,they promote the spread and development of gardening culture,on the other hand,they also improve the quality of urban public space.With the continuous development of cultural reform and the strengthening of the effect of Horticultural Exposition buildings as city business cards,the expression of regional culture has become one of the basic principles of architectural design of horticultural expositions.Critical regionalism is a representative theory of how architecture inherits regional culture and seeks the balance between history and present under the influence of modernism.The architecture of Horticultural Exposition Based on critical regionalism will integrate tradition and modernity,architecture and nature,and make it an organic whole.Based on critical regionalism,this paper will study the Regionalism Design of Horticultural Exposition buildings.Through the study of theory and practice,the characteristics and design methods of critical regionalism theory are summarized.Then the design methods of theory are applied to horticultural exposition buildings.Finally,the corresponding design strategies are put forward to guide the actual project.Firstly,the paper studies the theory of critical regionalism and summarizes its characteristics,which include thinking characteristics-inheriting regional context,morphological characteristics-removing architectural form and spatial characteristics-integrating into site environment and technological characteristics-using modern technology,and using two practical case studies to study the design method of critical regionalism;secondly,the article passes through two practical cases.Based on the investigation and analysis,this paper points out the shortcomings of the regional design of architecture for Horticultural Exposition in China at present,and analyses the reasons.Then,according to the existing problems,this paper analyzed the influencing factors of regional design of Horticultural Exposition buildings,and summarized four levels of elements: architectural form,building materials,building outdoor environment and architectural space atmosphere.In addition,the article also analyzed the development trend of Horticultural Exposition buildings,pointing out that this is the basic background of regional design of horticultural expositions in the future.Finally,the article puts forward the strategy of regional architecture design of Horticultural Exposition Based on critical regionalism.The strategy also includes four levels: regional shaping of architectural form,including reconstructing regional symbolic elements,integrating with natural environment and integrating with overall planning;reasonably expressing regional material characteristics;emphasizing experiential design of architectural outdoor environment and continuing regional cultural characteristics of overall spatial atmosphere.Combining with the project of Nanning Garden Expo Experience Pavilion,the feasibility of design strategies and methods is verified,and an attempt is made to study the regional design of gardening Expo buildings.
