Highway transportation is the basis of the comprehensive transportation system,plays an important role in economic and social development,and will take on more transportation task in the future.However,with the gradual opening up of the transport market,and the aviation,railway and other modes of transportation means challenge,as well as with the implementation of the refined oil price and tax reform program,highway transportation faced with a grim problem of existence and development.For highway transportation enterprises,clearing the development direction and goals,and formulating the development strategy in accordance with the external environment and internal conditions,planning specific business,is the basis to improve the competitiveness.In this paper,the analytical investigation is referred to the theory of development strategy and a large number of document literatures.This paper mainly researched and discussed about present situation and development direction of highway transportation,and the development strategy as well as diversified choices of highway transportation enterprises.To take Guangxi Yunde Company as research object,by analyzing the company's basic situation and main business,the author tries to point out the present problems of the company.The article used the SWOT analysis method to carry out a systematic study of the internal and external environment of the Guangxi Yunde company,and determined the company should take in order to give priority to the development strategy of growth,at the business unit level should continue to adhere to the highway passenger transportation as its core business,to strengthen its position and develop advantages on the basis of other related business.And then the author planning and estimating the main operations on the basis of the development strategy.At last,the article discussed implementation stage and safeguard measures of development strategy.I personally hope this paper may help the development of Guangxi Yunde company,and meanwhile,it may be the useful reference for the planning of development strategy in relevant industry.
