A growing number of tall buildings are appearing in city new district with the developme nt of urbanization in our country.To promote urbanization power system and cooperate with t he existing construction floor structure,the designing of remote meter reading system with en ergy efficiency have important potential applications and economic value to achieve the collec tively power of building floor for water,electricity,heat,gas and so on.At the same time,the use of remote meter reading technology instead of traditional manual meter reading mode is o ne of the important developments which could save more human resources.It is easy to cause a profound waste of energy because the heating-metering charging method based on the buildi ng area size in most of our country.Therefore,household metering is a main idea to design th e intelligent instruments of remote meter reading system.In this paper,we designed an automatic meter reading system for heat metering based on wireless sensor network,which can collect messages of the heat meters by the wireless network remotely,and it can also establish a direct link between the heat meter and remote management center.Finally,we can collect,storage,transfer and analysis the data of heat meters through the online way.We will discuss the system by dividing it into three parts.(1)The design of terminal heat meter.We choose the MSP430F5529 for the MCU of heat meter.MSP430F5529 as a 16-bit ultra-low power Single-Chip Microcomputer is developed by TI.The terminal heat meter measure and calculate the heat dissipation in the user home through TDC-GP21,which is a high-precision chip for time-to-digital-converter.Finally,the heat meter stores the detected data and waits for the querying of the collectors.(2)The design of concentrators.The concentrator is the core part of the remote automatic meter reading system.Data and power are transferred between the heat meters installed on each floor through the MBus.The concentrators concentrates\the user information collected by the bus,and then send it to the wireless sensor network to continue the transmission.(3)The design of wireless sensor network.In this system,concentrators communicate with each other through wireless ZigBee sensor networks.When a device in the system fails,the network can be reassembled automatically.So that,the data of heat meters can be transmitted to remote control center punctually,effectively and accurately.So it will accelerate the process of meter reading in inhabitant plot.Finally,the system realizes the management and real-time monitoring about the heat meters through remote control center.In this paper,we design a kind of system which can measure household heat and realize remote meter reading automatically.It provides a better idea to the problem of traditional charging mode and meter reading.
