Natural gas is a clean and environmentally friendly clean energy.Not only does it cause a lower greenhouse effect when burned,it can improve air quality,but it is also economical and stable in supply.Since the 21st century,the country has vigorously developed the natural gas industry structure.Nowadays,natural gas has entered millions of households,which has become one of the basic needs of residents in daily living.However,with the development of the city,the number of users has increased dramatically and scattered everywhere.The complicated and cumbersome traditional manual meter reading has been unable to meet the needs of society,and the development of remote meter reading systems is also imminent.This paper analyzes various existing meter reading schemes,compares various wired transmission and wireless transmission technologies,considers its advantages and disadvantages,and proposes an efficient,low cost,low power consumption and high feasibility.Remote meter reading method,that is,the design of gas meter reading system based on NB-IoT.NB-IoT?Narrow Band Internet of Things,translated as Narrowband Internet of Things?is a newly emerging technology in the IoT field that supports cellular data connections for low-power devices in wide area networks,also known as low power wide area networks?Low Power Wide Area Network,LPWAN?.And the low power consumption advantage of NB-IoT can extend the battery life of the device to 10 years,and continue to provide indoor cellular data connection and coverage[1].This design is based on a gas ultrasonic flowmeter,on the basis of which a new NB-IoT module is added.This module communicates with the single-chip microcomputer C8051 through the UART serial port,and the C8051 controls the NB-IoT module through the AT instruction set.The NB-IoT module regularly sends the user's gas consumption to the cloud server every day.The cloud server stores it in the database for data analysis and displays the data on the mobile phone APP.Users can log in to their personal accounts to view their own gas consumption.You can log in to check the gas consumption of users in the residential area,that is,complete remote meter reading,eliminating the disadvantages of manual meter reading,household entry,payment and monitoring.In the design process,in addition to hardware related knowledge such as PCB board design,soldering and debugging,it is also necessary to build a database on the cloud server to store relevant information.The host computer uses the Dart language to design the meter reading system Android application.The function of logging in,and the data such as the user's gas flow can be loaded into the client application for display and analysis,which is convenient for users and meter readers to view.
