With the advancement of the construction of global intelligent water system,China's urban and rural smart water meter industry has developed rapidly,and the use of smart water meters has continued to increase.Mechanical traditional water meters that require staff to read on-site have gradually been replaced.At the same time,the water meter data collection and management model of "remote meter reading,centralized monitoring,and unified management" is gradually becoming the management standard for the water meter industry across the country.Therefore,designing a complete set of remote water meter reading system makes the whole water system standardization,digitization and informationization very meaningful.Firstly,this paper analyzes the development trend of smart water meters at home and abroad and the status quo of remote meter reading system,and introduces the enterprises and their excellent products that are currently in the forefront of the remote meter reading industry;combined with the actual market demand,from the system work Based on various factors such as power consumption,data acquisition accuracy,system work efficiency,system practicability and compatibility,a software and hardware design scheme for a low-power remote water meter reading system based on the Internet of Things is proposed.The working principle and system architecture of the meter system are analyzed.According to the task index of the meter reading system,the ultra-low power STM32-ARM core processor-based embedded system hardware circuit is designed and implemented:power circuit,data Acquisition circuit,data storage circuit,communication circuit,real-time clock circuit and system low-power control circuit;then implement multiple sets of test and execution software according to the workflow of the whole water meter reading system,including ARM processor-based execution MCU internal NorFlash bootloader update program and APP master program,WinFor based on.NET framework m remote program update industrial control software,based on Eclipse and SqlServer remote water meter reading test platform.At the end of this paper,a comprehensive and detailed test of the meter reading system was carried out.The test results show that the system function is basically realized,the service life of battery can reach 4 years,the cumulative error of the pulse volume is about one thousandth,the 485 direct reading table has zero error rate,and the analog acquisition error is less than ±0.8%.Data transfer under the text reissue program has no data loss.
