With the development of Internet of Things technology,smart home has gradually entered the public.In today's smart home system,the form of human-computer interaction still has a higher learning cost.In the future,smart home systems need to be more in line with human cognitive and behavioral habits.Among them,3D gesture,as the main input mode of somatosensory interaction,has the characteristics of being widely used in smart home environment.The purpose of this study is to provide design suggestions to meet the psychological and physiological needs of the elderly and to ensure the natural humancomputer interaction behavior of the elderly in the future smart home environment.By improving the cognitive efficiency and reducing the physiological load.3D gestures have more usability in the elderly.This study mainly consists of two parts: gesture classification cognitive research and gesture physiological load assessment research.The contents of the gesture classification cognitive research are as follows: First,the all subjects need to classify the selected 3D gestures into the different commands by watching the demo video.Next,subjects need to watch the demo video again according to their classification results and then give the re-cognition scores.The study find that there are significant differences in gesture recognition between two groups,and some background factors of the elderly affect the results of gesture recognition.There is a positive linear correlation between the consistency of gesture classification and the accuracy of gesture classification.The re-cognition scores is at a good level.Different design factors have significant effects on re-cognition scores.Therefore,in order to improve the cognitive efficiency of gestures,we need to focus on the demands of the elderly and advocate the user-defined gesture.The gestures of different operating commands have different design factors which are suitable for their command attributes.We should select suitable design factors according to specific operation commands to avoid cognitive ambiguity after re-recognition.The main contents of gesture physiological load assessment research are as follows: Operating these gestures for 2minutes,sEMG signal of deltoid,biceps brachii and radialis brachii are acquired and analyzed.Meanwhile the subjective fatigue are also collected.It is find that the fatigue of biceps brachii is closely related to deltoid muscle,which is easily caused by arm stretching,and subjective fatigue is related to deltoid muscle fatigue.Because 3D gestures have not been widely used,the evaluation results of the SUS scale are general.Therefore,in order to improve the physiological comfort of 3D gestures,it is necessary to reduce large-scale movements and avoid the simultaneous occurrence of arm straightening and arm path movement.Considering the relationship between subjective fatigue and deltoid muscle fatigue trend,we need to focus on the reduce of deltoid muscle fatigue trend.
