The surface electromyogram (SEMG) signals are the time and space synthesis result of complicated muscle electricity active on the top of skin, the measurement and analyse about SEMG has a very important significance for the clinic diagnosis, healing medicine, and athletics medicine;The virtual instrument (VI) is a revolutionary outcome, it organized the instrument technique and the computer technique and redefined the concept of instruments, it pointed out the instrument development directions.An SEMG acquisition and recognition system based on virtual instrument technique is introduced in this thesis, it can acquire vivid SEMG signal and draw a conclusion that its power is very low and its frequency spectrum located below 300 Hz or 400Hz. Then recognize action pattern by the method of power spectrum K value, and the recognize effect is good. Adapted to various physiological signals with the expanded functions, the system can be considered as the future physiological instrument's direction.As far as the paper structure is concerned, first, this thesis introduced the concept, characteristics, status quo inside and outside home and typical configuration of the virtual instrument, then give a detailed analysis about how the SEMG comes into being, its characteristic, and how about its research job;Second, this thesis introduced the basic function and the choose principle about hardware in SEMG acquisition and recognition system;Finally, this thesis detailed introduced the software design methods and process, including to choose design language, to part function modules, to introduce main functions, to integrate modules to form host programe, etc. The most workload is to complete the design of the software (the fifth chapter).The innovation viewpoint in this research job is to acquire SEMG signals by VI technique and build a set of SEMG multi-channel acquisition and recognition system.
