With the development of the internet and digital media, interaction design for digital products has become a hot research topic. But people with color vision abnormalities as a user group with "hidden" barriers, their equal rights haven’t gotten enough attentions. They use digital products which are designed for normal people. So they can hardly meet the physiological and psychological needs in interaction experience, in case of the confusion of the cognition of color and the misunderstanding of the emotional association of color. This research embarks from the social humane care, in order to improve the interaction efficiency and satisfaction of users with color vision abnormalities. This research conducts an experimental study on physiological cognition and emotional association of digital color for people with red and green color vision abnormalities. The physiological cognition study is conducted by the Randall Ring test. The emotional association study is conducted by forward and reverse test with the association words and the test colors. Then we applied the results to the practice of design. And through the usability tests, we proved the correctness of the results. The results were written into a barrier-free color design guidelines handbook for promotion. Finally through the summary of the whole process of the research, we summarized up some design principles and methods of the barrier-free color design, which have a certain guiding significance to the barrier-free color design.
