Water Conservancy to rejuvenate the country,China's hydraulic building facilities are mostly built in a period of vigorous development.The pump station project is an effective engineering measure to solve the drought and water shortage flood disaster and water environment deterioration.As the most important pouring material of pumping station,concrete cracks are widespread in engineering circles.Cracks weaken the durability of concrete,induce structural damage,and seriously disturb the safe service of the project.Pump pier cracking is usually based on the combination of many factors.Therefore,it is necessary to analyze the mechanical behavior and stress of pump pier.Based on the current research progress of concrete cracks,this paper combines the cracking engineering background of the partition pier of a large pumping station which is put into operation on the East Route of South-to-North Water Transfer Project.The crack condition of concrete is inspected on site,and the finite element models of the pier before and after reinforcement are established by using the basic theory of finite element and the finite element software ANSYS.According to the stress distribution of the pump pier,the main cause of its cracking is found.The stress variation at the crack end before and after reinforcement are compared and the reinforcement effect is analyzed by numerical simulation.This paper also gives engineering measures to prevent crack propagation and control,which can be used for reference in similar engineering design.The main research contents are as follows:1?The research status of concrete stress analysis methods at home and abroad is elaborated.The causes of concrete cracking are mostly concentrated on the adverse loads of cyclic loading such as temperature stress and uneven settlement of foundation.The strengthening technology of concrete cracks in current projects is discussed.2?Based on the engineering background,considering the address status of the pumping station,with steel ruler,crack width detector and core drill equipment,the cracking status of the pump pier was detected.After testing,we find that the cracks of the partition pier are serious.There are penetrating cracks in the right pier of hole 1 and hole 4,which need to be strengthened.3?The finite element model of pumping station is established by ANSYS software.Considering the influence of temperature change on the stress of the pump pier during operation,the force performance of the pump pier under five working conditions is simulated.Based on the previous engineering experience and simulation results,it is considered that the concrete surface cracks are caused by the sudden drop of cold wave temperature during the operation period of the pump pier,and the cracks are further expanded by the uneven settlement.4.Using the finite element model created by ANSYS software in the early stage,chemical grouting is adopted in the model in the reinforcement treatment.The stress changes of typical points at the joint end of the pier before and after reinforcement are compared and analyzed.It is found that the grouting reinforcement technology can effectively reduce the further expansion of the cracks of the pier.
