With the rapid development of social economy,the full implementation of green manufacturing policy and promoting efficient recycling of resources have became the primary issue of social development.Square paper tube production of the spiral square paper tube winding machine is a high-tech form of green packaging products.Every step is harmless,energy saving and highly effective from the raw material selection to paper tube designing,manufacturing,using and recycling.In view of the problems existing in the machine,such as low machining accuracy,some parts damaged easily,long transmission chain,high error rate and high energy-consumption,the improved design and simulation of the whole machine are carried out in this paper.Firstly,the forming principle of the machine is analyzed,at the same time,the relationship among the width of the tape,the paper tube perimeter,winding angle and screw pitch are explored,meanwhile,the working principles and working process of paper tube are also analyzed,and the improvement of 3D model machine is established according to the existing prototype and part drawings.According to the existing machine problems,the paper analyzes,studies and formulates the overall improvement scheme.According to the maximum torque measured by the experiment,the design of press roller gear was carried out in accordance with the gear surface contact strength and gear root bending strength.The press roller space adjustment system,the slip-ring design and the power transmission device are improved,simplified and generally designed.Also the 3D model of the improved machine is established.The chain length is reduced by about 40%by improved design of the whole transmission,and the total weight is reduced by about 21%.Based on the virtual prototype simulation software ADAMS,kinematics simulation analysis of the machine before and after improvement is carried out.That the machine after improvement can satisfy the processing requirements of the original machine in kinematics is verified.On this basis,the statics simulation analysis is carried out by using Romax Designer on the press roller device of the improved machine.The simulation value of gear capacity,input and output shaft strength,bearing life,strength and stiffness of the planet carrier is respectively obtain.Through simulation analysis,it is found that the improved machine can satisfy the design requirements,and it is proved that the improved design is feasible and correct.
