Research On The Method Of The Cultural Characteristic Towns Planning

Alongwith the new publishment of the New Urbanization Strategy and the social development transformation under the New Normal,the urbanization of small towns and rural areas are continuously catching eyes.As a pioneer of building and developing characteristic towns,Zhejiang Province has holistically launched this mission since 2015,and gradually evoked a national trend.Under this circumstance,planning and building characteristic towns became very popular all over the country,the pertaining planning g problems started to draw attention as well.If not regulated with effective planning regulations,the planning of characteristic towns will grow out of control,and in turn affect the economy and social development of themselves and the peripheral area.The thesis will start with a review of related researches,followed with defining the reseach object,choosing the research method,and map out a research framework.Secondly,the author selects the first batch of 127 characteristic towns planning published by the MOHURD as samples,analyzes their contents,extractes their character control elements,constructs a system of elements used to define the type of a characteristic town,and evaluates each element with analytical hierarchy process.Meanwhile,based on the result of previous work,the author will analyze the underlying planning thoughts,summarize the planning procedure and contents,and construct a cultural characteristic town planning method.At last,the thesis takes planning of Yi Shui,an ordnance characteristic town,as an example,analyzes its feature factors,and specifies the type of its cultural feature.The planning capitalizes on its rich resources and a solid cultural foundation,establishes a unique ordnance feature for this town,stimulates the industrial development and environmental promotion,and forms a growth core of economy and society for its peripheral areas,which proves the reasonability and practicability of the planning method stated in the previous sector.Recently,the practical work of characteristic plans has benn performed extensively around the country,but relevant researches are lagging behind.Hence,the thesis employes cultural characteristic towns as the entry point,to conclude theories that can be applied to the enforcement of other characteristic towns' plans as referemce and experiences,which will provide substantial theoretical and practical value.
