Research On Planning And Designing Of Characteristic Towns Underlying Urban Arcadianism

Characteristic towns have been generalized as a national strategy since Oct.in 2016,there are 1000 characteristic towns will be built until 2020.This strategy made construction of characteristic towns become a movement,characteristic towns has also became a important measure to develop small towns.Because the construction of characteristic towns based on many factors,such as local cultures and regional characteristics,construction of characteristic towns can not simply copy other pattern and can not follow the fashion trend.How can construct characteristic towns effectively and efficiently has became a urgent and essential task.This paper will try to find some useful strategies for designing and planning of characteristic towns from the Urban Arcadianism.Through reading of a large number of literatures and studying relevant theories of characteristic towns,constructions of small towns and integration of city and countryside,this paper summarizes the relevant theoretical concepts of characteristic towns.Analyzing four successful characteristic towns,Yunxi Town of Zhejiang,Tangkou Town of Anhui,American Nape Valley and Silicon Valley of the United States,this paper will summarizes the useful strategies and experiences from those cases.Through studying the present situation of characteristic towns,this paper summarizes some problems of constructions,then getting the answer that we need find a more effective and efficient way to plan and design the characteristic towns.This paper also deeply research and study the urban arcadianism,further summarize the connotations and significances of urban arcadianism,then summing up some strategies which are useful in planning and designing of characteristic towns.Then this paper will further research the characteristic towns underlying the Urban Arcadianism,researching a strategy which is leaded by characteristic industry,besides that,this strategy is combined with new technologies,this strategy is helped by a designing way which is based on public participation,this strategy will pay heavy attention on the sustainable development of ecological environment and regional feature.At last,this paper will do the planning and designing for Xiaolan Town as a case.This planning and designing will based on Urban Arcadianism,putting planning and designing emphasis on the core area of Xiaolan green space system.It will get the introduction in following perspectives,industry,green space system.water system.
