Cultural Regionalization Research On Construction Techniques Of Manchu Traditionnal Dwellings In Northeast China

The Northeast Manchu traditional residential construction technology is a unique architectural art originated in Northeast China.The special geographical environment and the fusion of multi ethnic groups endow them with unsophisticated cultural connotations and eclectic cultural characteristics.In the past,the research on the construction technology of the Manchu traditional houses in Northeast China tended to describe the types and practices of the houses,ignoring the main role of the space.Cultural geography focuses on the dynamic characteristics of culture from time and space dimensions,focusing on describing and explaining the generation,evolution,spatial difference and distribution of culture.Therefore,in this context,through the cross use of architecture and cultural geography,research the culture regionalization of the construction techniques of traditional Manchu dwellings.In order to interpret the characteristics and provide the data basis for the protection of Manchu residential buildings in Northeast China.First of all,based on the Northeast Manchu traditional village survey and data collecting,sorting out the 301 villages for the study sample.For the establishment of cultural geography database,Collect building form,materials,construction and other related construction data information of Manchu dwellings.The data information is imported into the Arc GIS software to carry out vectorization processing,and complete the drawing of cultural geographic atlas.Secondly,through the cultural geography atlas express intuitively to the spatial difference of cultural landscape and the distribution law,combined with the principle of regional division of cultural geography,determine the type of residential wall masonry as the dominant cultural factors to divide cultural are as preliminarily.And the cultural area is subdivided according to the spatial distribution of 5 kinds of auxiliary factors,such as the residential terrain environment,residential building age,gable type,architectural decoration and roofing system materials.Finally the paper divides to six regions and expounds the main construction features of each district.And then combined with the characteristics of the Manchu culture and geographical elements in different regions,from the perspective of cultural geography,discuss the inherent driving force of the zoning rule and analyze the forming factors of its evolution.The main innovation of this paper is to study the construction skills of traditional dwellings from the perspective of cultural geography,so as to make the study not only have the classification thinking of architecture,but also have the systematic thinking of cultural geography.Through interpreting the distributioncharacteristics of the cultural landscape of the residential building technology,the paper divides the Northeast Manchu traditional residential building technology culture region.Fill in the gaps of previous studies and enrich the research of northeast Manchu traditional houses.
