Research On Child Medical Products Design Based On Narrative Design

Nowadays,with the advancement of science and technology,and the improvement of quality of life,people pay more attention and require higher for medical products.Modern medical products and medical services should not only meet the needs of medical treatment,but also give more emotional cares to patients and their family members.Currently,the design of children's diagnosis and treatment and the design of child medical products in China fall behind those of foreign countries.In the process of seeking medical care for a child patient,we often ignore children's psychological and physical feelings.The environment,procedures,and medical products for children are basically the same as adult.Children's psychological maturity and physiological development are different from adults.When we using adultized medical procedures,children are always out of emotional control,and tend to resist the treatment and cry.Although,hospitals have become increasingly concerned about children's diseases in recent years and taken some measures,it could not meet the deep emotional needs of children and change the traditional cold image of hospital in children's mind.Narrative design is the process of turning stationary objects into dynamic things.We apply narrative design to child medical product design,and give new procedures and plots to treatment.It will change the traditional form of medical products.Child patients can participate in the story and complete the treatment at the same time.All of these will improve the efficiency and effectiveness of treatment and improve children's emotional experience.In this study,firstly,I clarified the concept,production and development process,characteristics of narrative design.Secondly,I divided narrative design into static narrative design and dynamic narrative design based on existing narrative design theory.I explained and illustrated its content and characteristics,and analyzed the relationship between static narrative design and dynamic narrative design.Thirdly,Iproposed the elements of dynamic narrative design: structure level,role level,behavior level,scene level and item level according to the content and characteristics of dynamic narrative design.I explained content and positive role of five levels and proposed a design procedure.Finally,I used children's atomization treatment as an example and designed a new child atomization treatment process,nebulizer model,usage method and scene with dynamic narrative design.I validated research results with experiments.This study collated the narrative design theory,classification and design procedure of narrative design.The study used experiments to proofread theory and provided a theoretical basis in application of narrative design in children's medical product design.
