The Research And Application Of Cost-Effectiveness Analysis Method On Ship Voyage

As the international economic situation continues to falter,Shipping industry gets into long-term slump.Under the circumstances,shipping enterprises urgently need to improve the operating efficiency,and reduce the operating cost.As voyage is the main activity of shipping enterprises’ production and operation,the research of the voyage can help shipping enterprises to reduce costs and improve efficiency.But traditional voyage studies pay more attention to forecast and planning,researchers try to find the optimal way of voyage operation through the method of simulation,and ignore the analysis and evaluation of existing voyage.However,it is easier to find the characteristics and deficiencies of shipping enterprises’ operation through the lateral and longitudinal comparison of existing voyage.This paper introduces the costeffectiveness analysis into the study of voyage,and proposes voyage cost effect analysis method based on comparison evaluation.By comparing the cost,effectiveness,efficiency,and other indicators,this article establish and perfect the voyage cost effect analysis method and model,and apply it to the target enterprise’s voyage operation optimization.The main content of this paper is as follows:(1)The relatively complete research on the voyage management pattern of target ship was carried out.At first,elements and characteristics of voyage management system were analyzed;then,from the point of transport ships’ commonness and target ship’s features,this paper introduces the basic process and period division in voyage operation;at last,taking target shipping companies as research objects,this paper gives direct and indirect cost structure involved in the voyage management.(2)Research is unfolded on the part of cost in the voyage cost-effectiveness analysis.By virtue of activity-based costing’s concept that products consume activities and activities consume resources;by way of establishing operation center,setting up distribution agent,calculating operation costs;the voyage cost-sharing model is built based on activity-based costing,and is applied in the calculation of target ship’s single voyage costs.(3)Deep research is carried out around the part of effect in the voyage cost-effectiveness analysis.Using analytic hierarchy process(AHP),this paper builds voyage effectiveness appraisal target system and effectiveness evaluation model by introducing EEOI and economical speed.Then real ship’s voyage effectiveness evaluation is carried out.(4)Based on the above studies,voyage cost-effectiveness evaluation model is built based on improved fuzzy mathematics comprehensive index.In This model,max-min operator of traditional fuzzy mathematics comprehensive index is improved to weighted averaging operator,which will make the evaluation result more scientific and reasonable.(5)By using above mentioned model,cost-effectiveness evaluation of target ship is done.This paper compares the cost-effectiveness of old and new ship with same mission,the same ship at different stages,and the same ship in different speed.Suggestions on optimization of target enterprise and ship operations are made by combing the conclusion of comparison and analysis.
