Slope instability is a very dangerous geological disaster, it threatens the people's life and property and economic construction greatly. Therefore, how to evaluate slope stability accurately and reliably is very significant to slope safety.The soils and rock of slope are inhomogeneous and complexity geologic bodies, induce to uncertainties in slope stability analysis. Thence, slope stability assessment is a geotechnical problem characterized by many sources of uncertainty, random uncertainty and fuzzy uncertainty. Practice has proved that fuzzy uncertainty is more profound than random uncertainty in slope stability evaluation. To solve uncertain problems, fuzzy mathematics have a natural superiority, this paper introduce the fuzzy theory to slope stability evaluation.According to the engineering experiences and the research data,7 kinds of factors are selected and each factor's subordinate functions are constructed, AHP and Fuzzy AHP are used to solve the weight of each factor, established a slope stability evaluation of fuzzy comprehensive evaluation model. As the evaluation of slope stability is a pattern recognition problem, the paper established a slope stability evaluation of fuzzy pattern recognition model. By analyzing 10 examples, the result that use these models to evaluate slope stability in conformity with the outcome of Imbalance thrust force method and experts, the probability of same outcome is 90%, for the reason that these models is feasible in slope stability evaluate.In evaluation of slope stability, determine rock mechanic parameters is crucial. As the fuzzy relationship between the rock and rock mechanical parameters and the human subjectivity that calculate the mechanical parameters of rock. This paper attempt to use fuzzy method to determine the mechanics parameters of rock.At last, this paper discuss the random fuzzy methods concerning both randomness and fuzziness and derive the formula that calculate the fuzzy-random reliability of plane sliding slope.
