The construction and maintenance of asphalt pavement at ambient temperature is one of the key research and development directions of highway construction.The development and application of emulsified asphalt mixture paving road surface not only accords with the development trend of asphalt pavement technology,but also accords with the requirement of national environmental protection.Waterborne Epoxy emulsified Asphalt mixture is a kind of asphalt material used under normal temperature,which has the advantages of good road performance,convenient use,energy saving and environmental protection.In this paper,firstly,the mechanism of mixing strength was studied.The Mohr-Coulomb theory is used to explain the mechanism of mixing strength that the strength of waterborne epoxy emulsified asphalt mixture was composed of the internal friction resistance of mineral mixture particles and the bonding force between asphalt and aggregates.A waterborne epoxy resin system used for modification of emulsified asphalt mixtures was optimized by performance test.At the same time,the preparation technology of glue slurry was studied.The types and optimum proportioning of waterborne epoxy emulsified asphalt mortar components were recommended: Waterborne Epoxy resin: curing agent =1:1.3,waterborne epoxy resin system and cement and emulsified asphalt ratio 0.3:1 and 0.1:1 respectively.It was found that the increase of the amount of waterborne epoxy resin would greatly shorten the consolidation time of the slurry,the bulk of the slurry could reduce the working performance of the mortar,even the rapid formation of the mass.In addition,the effect of cement content on the performance of the mortar is relatively huge.And it was difficult to stir the slurry when the cement proportion is more than 30%.On the basis of reference to the existing research results,the forming and curing methods of waterborne epoxy emulsified asphalt mixture and the mixture proportioning design method are studied.It was recommended that Marshall specimen molding conditions for the first twosided 50 times,room temperature after 24 h,and then double-sided 25 times,static 24 h,and then test the Marshall Stability and volume indicators.According to the indoor test results of epoxy emulsified asphalt mixture,the optimum emulsion dosage is 10%.In this paper the road performance of waterborne epoxy emulsified asphalt mixtures was tested.Because the product of waterborne epoxy resin was formed in the space network structure and the reaction was irreversible,the high temperature performance of the mixture was excellent.The results of low temperature bending creep test showed that the Low-temperature property of the mixture meets the requirements of our country’s specifications and the low-temperature performance is good.The adhesion test,residue stability test and freeze-thaw splitting test of asphalt mixture showed that the mixture had good water stability.The results of road performance test showed that the optimized waterborne epoxy resin had better effect on the performance of emulsified asphalt mixture.
