ordinary emulsified asphalt has some shortcomings,such as low adhesion,low strength,poor anti-deformation ability and so on,which restricts the application and development of emulsified asphalt.Based on the characteristics of high strength and high adhesion of epoxy resin,this paper uses Waterborne Epoxy Resin(WER)to modify emulsified asphalt.In view of the brittleness of epoxy resin after curing,SBR was compounded with WER(SW),and Basalt Fiber(BF)was mixed into the mixture to improve its low temperature crack resistance from two aspects of asphalt and mixture.The compatibility,asphalt performance and mixture performance of SW emulsified asphalt are studied.The main research contents are as follows:(1)The compatibility of SW emulsified asphalt was studied by storage stability test,film formation test,fluorescence microscope test and scanning electron microscope test.The results show that the blending of SBR emulsified asphalt with Nonionic waterborne epoxy resin or modified amine curing agent has good storage stability,and the film forming effect of SW emulsified asphalt is good.When the content of WER is 20%,the whole three-dimensional network structure can be formed after curing.(2)The effect of WER content on the performance of SW emulsified asphalt was studied by adhesion test,Engla viscosity test,tensile test,direct shear test and DSR test.The results showed that the increase of WER content significantly improved the adhesion,Engla viscosity,tensile strength,shear strength and high temperature deformation resistance of SW emulsified asphalt,but decreased the elongation at break and increased the brittleness of asphalt,which has an adverse effect on fatigue performance.When the WER content is 20%,The performance of asphalt has a sudden change,and the combination of WER and SBR can improve the strength and improve the flexibility of SW emulsified asphalt.(3)The coarse,medium and fine gradation of AC-13 is designed,and the optimal gradation is determined by Marshall test.The effects of secondary compaction time and cement content on the strength of mixture are studied,and the effect of BF content on the low temperature performance of SW emulsified asphalt mixture is studied by low temperature trabecular test.The study shows that the medium gradation is closest to the target voidage of 4%,which is determined to be the best gradation;The mixture strength can be improved when the second compaction time is 9 hours and the cement content is 1.5%,and when the BF content is 0.3%,the improvement effect on low temperature crack resistance is the best.(4)Four kinds of emulsified asphalt mixtures such as SBR,WER,SW and SWBF are compared and analyzed from the aspects of strength,high temperature rutting resistance,water loss resistance and low temperature crack resistance.The results show that the strength,rutting resistance,water loss resistance and crack resistance of asphalt mixture are obviously improved after the combination of WER and SBR;and the performance of asphalt mixture is further improved with the addition of BF,which can make up for the brittleness defect of epoxy resin in low temperature crack resistance.
