In large cities,population and car ownership have increased year after year.Concomitant are the increasing traffic demand and the increasingly prominent contradiction between supply and demand.The city's old urban area,as the earliest urban development of the city,generally serves as the center of the city's early commercial economy.However,as the process of urbanization advances and continues to develop,its resource advantages are gradually shrinking,planning land is scarce,densely populated,and traffic Congestion and other issues have gradually become the bottleneck restricting the development of the old city center area.How to maintain the vibrancy and vitality of the old city center area,avoid large-scale demolition and construction-type traffic reconstruction,improve traffic congestion,and create a comfortable and pleasant travel environment are common problems faced by many urban centers in many old cities.This study conducted a detailed analysis of the traffic problems in the commercial center of the old city formed in the process of urban development in Luohu District,Shenzhen,and selected an important road to and from the area—Dongmen Road.Taking Dongmen Road as an example of improvement measures,a set of systematic and practical traffic improvement plans have been proposed.The project breaks through the concept of traditional road reconstruction,through systematic detailed investigation and adequate traffic model simulation,reasonable optimization of road sections,people-oriented,combined with the concept of Shenzhen public transport city,boldly proposes the transformation plan for demolishing flyovers and adding light-controlled plane crossing sidewalks.The “multi-point distribution” and “single-single-line” site improvement measures for public transportation are used to transform roads to ensure basic traffic functions,and to build a “promotional shopping” slow traffic system that enhances business linkages to improve the capacity of public transportation and simultaneously provide a landscape Appreciation is of great significance to building the "bus travel" and "slow traffic" construction.The project is not satisfied with the rectification of roads on the entire road,but according to the traffic demand of different road sections,it proposes the functional positioning of different sections of the road and the differences to formulate the transformation plan,which provides directional and technical support for the improvement of the road environment.
