In order to solve outstanding mountain highway in the operation of traffic safety problems and improve highway traffic security capabilities and operational efficiency, the paper relies on Tai Wu Qinghai Huashixia typical highway project through the mountain highway road characteristics, traffic characteristics, driving behavior, traffic accidents and other reasons for the investigation and analysis, based on the speed of ideas and methods, relying on the project to carry out a comprehensive traffic safety analysis and evaluation; projects in relying on a comprehensive program of measures to improve the proposed mountain highway safety evaluation principles, processes, content and methodology.According to the design phase of the evaluation content "guidelines" proposed, combined with the actual project, the paper run from security considerations, evaluation method based on operating speed, focus on examination of the design of vertical and horizontal line level coordination; brake drum temperature prediction model based on the evaluation of continuous long downhill section operational safety of the truck, proposed security measures; propose improvements based on continuous long uphill truck speed simulation software, the evaluation of continuous long uphill road capacity and safety; on the roadside security analysis software for flower stone Gap particularity to long rule highway roadbed width of this project were key sections of roadside safety assessment and analysis; combined with the meteorological characteristics of the project area, the adverse weather conditions for the next snow Traffic Safety Evaluation, proposed security measures; accordance with the "Guide" requirements, safety evaluation of pavement, bridges, tunnels, cross route, traffic engineering and along the facilities.
