With the rapid economic development,the demand for infrastructure construction has gradually increased.Therefore,there is a higher demand for the development of cranes.Cranes with large lifting weight,large volume,high lifting height and excellent performance are often more attractive to people.This article discusses the development status and development prospects of cranes at home and abroad,describes the basic requirements for the crane structure,and uses an independently designed 50-ton boring bar crane as an example to introduce the overall design process of the crane to a certain degree,and to the cranes.The main institutions and parts were checked for strength,stiffness,stability,etc.Finally,ANSYS finite element analysis software was used for finite element analysis.The results of finite element analysis were used as reference for verification of structural design,and the finite element analysis process was performed.Problems arise in the solution suggestions.Compared with the method of calculating the stress of the upper and lower bodywork of the truss type jib crane,it is very mature.In the overall design process,the method of calculating the whole first part of the crane when the upper and lower body of the crane adopts different hanging frames is very effective.The good realization of the calculation of the stress of the upper and lower body of the crane and the check of the strength,and the use of the finite element make up for the deficiencies in the design method,and provide the possibility of optimizing the structural performance of the crane on the basis of cost savings..The specific content of the paper mainly includes the following points,(1)Discusses the development status and development prospects of cranes at home and abroad.(2)Take a 50 ton mast crane as an example to design the overall structure of the mast crane and analyze the main structure of the mast crane.(3)Strength check and stiffness check of main structures of mast cranes.(4)Based on the force analysis,use the ANSYS finite element analysis software to carry out simulation analysis and judge the rationality of the structural design based on the simulation results.
