This thesis elaborates the situation, dynamic state and the direction of the development of the logistics equipment domestic and abroad currently, and the important function of the logistics equipment in modern manufacturing industry. The paper also studies the present condition of the truss gantry crane home and abroad, and put forward a kind of optimization to the main girder, according to the shortcomings that the main beam of the truss gantry crane is over weighted, and it needs more materials. With the increasing maturity and perfection of finite element software, the finite element method is more and more applied in structural analysis of the gantry crane. This paper analyzes main girder of the truss gantry crane with ANSYS, and carry out optimized design. The vital questions are solved in optimization process as follows:1. Establishing the truss girder gantry crane's mathematical model of traditional optimum design and optimizing the main girder with MDOD process.2. According to the truss gantry crane's structure, appropriate simplifying it, and establishing parametric finite element model which can accurately reflects actual situation.3. Determining the value range of design variables using sensitivity analysis, optimizing the main girder with ANSYS and finding out the optimal solution of section parameters.4. Take the 10t-22m girder gantry crane for example, carrying out static analysis and modal analysis with ANSYS. The results are consistent with the actual situation. The thesis is mainly to do some improving and exploring to modern design method of truss gantry crane. The application of the optimal design and finite element analysis must be combined with the practice in the design of crane. The result needs analyzing and modifying necessarily because of the different working conditions. The paper can provide assistance and reference for crane design with the finite element method.
