In recent years,the call for energy conservation and emission reduction is increasing with global energy issues increasingly prominent.As a clean and renewable energy source in the world,hydropower is becoming more and more important in the power generation system.Pumped storage power plants can efficiently store excess energy in the system with its unique pumping conditions,thus reducing energy waste.Thermal power.The main approach to supply energy in China at present,can effectively reduce coal consumption through reasonable combination of units.This paper presents a power generation system combining conventional hydropower station,pumped storage power station and thermal power station.A reliable and effective scheduling scheme can be obtained through rational system modeling and intelligent algorithm.The main contents are as follows:1.The thesis introduces the research status of pumped-storage plant in detail and analyzes its influence on power generation cost of water and fire power system According to its characteristics.Fire and water electricity optimization scheduling model which contains pumped storage unit is established.Analyzing the respective constraints of pumped storage,conventional hydropower station and thermal power generation according to their characteristics and then build a mathematical model toward objective of minimum system operating cost.2.This paper introduces wolf algorithm as model solution and propose two types of binary wolf algorithms for discrete problems.Then combining Chaos initialization,niche technology,and hybrid Particle Swarm Optimization to correct the defects of the standard Grey Wolf Algorithm.Besides,the advantages and reliability of modified wolf algorithm are verified through test functions.3.This paper introduces BGWO-MGWO combinatorial optimization algorithm which is selected to solve short-term optimization scheduling problem in water and fire power system including pumped storage power station.BGWO is used to optimize the combination of thermal power units in the scheduling model.Meanwhile MGWO is used to optimize the discharge flow of conventional reservoirs and the output of pumped storage power stations.The conventional hydropower station,pumped-storage power station and thermal power generation constraint treatment are described in detail.It is verified by the combined operation of water and fire power without pumped storage that BGWO-MGWO is superior to BGWO-GWO,combinatorial particle swarm algorithm(BPSO-PSO)and combinatorial gravity search algorithm(BGSA-GSA),Finally,by comparison of the operation cost of power generation system before and after the add of pumped storage,it is verified that the pumped storage power station can effectively reduce the generation cost of the system.
