Research On The Renewal Design Of Old Urban Residential District Under The Small Scale Block Advocacy

In the 1980 s and 1990 s,in order to solve the problem of housing shortage,China built a large number of urban settlements.With the rapid development of urban economy,these residential areas have not been able to meet the diversified needs of the residents,gradually aging and declining,and the vitality of residential areas has also been lost.At the same time,its location is transformed from the urban fringe of the past to the urban center,which has great economic value of land.These old residential areas not only affect the urban landscape,but also hinder the development of the city.Therefore,it is urgent to renovate and improve the relationship between the residential area and the city.Firstly,this thesis summarizes relevant theories and researches on small scale blocks and residential areas at home and abroad,It is concluded that the introduction of small scale blocks in urban old residential areas has the dual significance of planning and society,and systematically analyzes specific practical cases at home and abroad,and summarizes the common elements of the renewal of old urban residential areas under the promotion of small-scale districts,namely,spatial structure,functional structure and humanistic structure.Secondly,a deep field investigation into the old residential areas of chengdu and kunming,,it sums up the major problems in the city's old residential area from these three levels.Then,based on the problem orientation,this thesis discusses the renewal design strategy of old urban residential areas,namely,from the three aspects of spatial structure(block scale and sizes,traffic system,open space),functional structure(function composition,public service facility layout,architectural style),humanistic structure(community culture,residential area management mode),and constructs the new design framework of old urban residential area under the promotion of small-scale district.Finally,the research results of the update strategy are used to guide the updating design of chengdu yulin area,and the updated design method of yulin area is proposed to provide more ideas and methods for the current design of old residential areas.
