Research On The Spatial Form Of New Residential Areas In Small Cities In Dehong Area

In order to build a pleasant living environment for the sustainable development of small cities,To better cope with the problem of contemporary small cities’ extensive and unsustainable residential development model,imitating the model of big city residential areas,and losing their identity and attractiveness.this thesis deeply analyzes the relevant theories of today’s urban residential planning and construction centering on smart growth,and puts forward the value trend of the planning and design theory of small urban residential areas: building green and low-carbon sustainable residential areas under the principle of "reducing energy consumption"," walking first","saving land".Then through the detailed analysis of relevant residential cases at home and abroad,the valuable and referable design concepts and design techniques are extracted,and six elements that can directly guide the planning and form design of small urban residential areas are summarized,and the problems of the design of small urban residential space form in Dehong area are deeply analyzed: Low density scattered low-rise housing,low mixed-use of land,incomplete pedestrian circle,lacking of attention to pedestrian roads.Finally,combined with the adaptive correlation factors and local characteristics of Dehong area,the overall countermeasures for the development of small urban residential areas are proposed: to advocate moderate density and diversified architectural layout forms,to advocate appropriate mixed use of land,to build a complete and continuous community walking circle and to create residential roads that attach importance to walking.On the basis of this,two main models and applicable conditions for the development of small urban residential areas,"low-rise and multi-story mixed" and "multi-story dominated",are put forward.From the perspective of small cities in China,the conclusion of this thesis illustrates the applicability of the model of small city residential areas in Dehong region to small cities in China and its applicability to small cities similar to Dehong region,providing reference for the construction of small city residential areas in the future.
