Myanmar is located in the subtropical and tropical areas,with complex terrain,poor state of the railway lines,and poor vehicle operating conditions.This paper analyzes the applicability of the model SYJ01 electric transmission diesel locomotive based on Myanmar's environmental conditions and local maintenance conditions and operating habits.The locomotive uses an AC-DC electric locomotive and can be used for passengers and cargo.Mainline transportation,the maximum operating speed is 100km/h,the whole locomotive is designed with high temperature and humidity resistance,and can be operated stably in the tropics.This paper focuses on the characteristics of the line in Myanmar and the applicability of the traction braking performance of the locomotive.Analysis and verification.Firstly,the climate and circuit characteristics of the Myanmar region were introduced.The performance requirements of locomotive traction and braking were mainly summarized.Secondly,the locomotive traction braking performance was calculated.According to the traction braking performance requirements of SYJ01 electric transmission diesel locomotive,the traction force,adhesion traction,adhesion coefficient,resistance,and the excitation current limit and braking current limit of the resistance braking part are calculated,and the traction system is plotted according to the calculation results.Performance curve and resistance braking performance curve.Adopting the traction system control method,the diesel engine speed adopts the grading control,which corresponds to different gear positions of the controller respectively.To ensure the stable operation of the engine,the excitation circuit of the generator adopts two control modes: automatic excitation adjustment and fault excitation adjustment,and automatic excitation adjustment.In the mode,the generator adopts constant power control to change the torque of the traction motor,and the traction motor speed adjustment adopts the weak magnetic regulation,that is,the excitation current is adjusted to control.On this basis,the main generators,rectifiers,traction motors and resistance braking devices are selected.Finally,the test verification of SYJ01 electric drive diesel locomotive is carried out.Based on the theoretical calculation and the design results,the water resistance test,the self load test,the line test,the stress test,the mountain test are carried out.Due to Burma's line conditions,the contents of theoretical calculation can't be completely verified,but the overall design calculation and implementation part also has a scientific evaluation function,especially the test of heavy load test and the use of resistance braking for smooth running.
