Over the past decade,the automotive industry has made major breakthroughs in technology and markets,and Chinese auto industry has achieved rapid development.The competition in the Chinese auto market is unprecedentedly fierce.In order to be able to occupy a place in the fiercely competitive auto market,auto companies are constantly launching new auto products for the market to increase their market share.From the consumer's point of view,the customer's needs are constantly changing and upgrading,the replacement cycle of new automotive products is significantly shortened,and the R&D cycle accounts for a large proportion of the entire life cycle of automotive products,and the excellent R&D capabilities of automotive products become the core competitiveness of all companies.The efficient vehicle R&D process,as an important vehicle for R&D activities in automotive products,is also a necessary condition for the successful completion of all R&D activities.Under the new circumstances,how companies can optimize the research and development process of automotive products through scientific and effective methods to improve the overall efficiency of research and development activities is the main content of this articleThis paper takes the QR company's existing passenger car product development process as an example to comprehensively use the product life cycle and management theory,process management and optimization related theories,concurrent engineering theory,door diameter management theory and lean R & D theory,and conduct in-depth research and analysis about QR company's existing product development process,and find out a number of problems in the current R & D process,make targeted optimization solutions for a number of issues raised,and finally propose a product development process to ensure the implementation of optimized Several measures.The node control is not qualified.The main problems in QR company's automotive product R&D process are excessive development cycle,high R&D costs,the node control is not qualified,and have some risks,lack of accumulated experience,and imperfect knowledge management.In this paper,the detailed discussions,combing,and analysis of the company's existing R&D process have led to the development of an optimized solution for QR automotive product development process.Through process adjustment,the product development cycle was shortened by changing the serial R&D process to a parallel R&D process,R&D vehicle platformization and modularization,virtual analysis verification,laboratory verification,and external verification.Target cost method,product platform modularization and other methods are adopted to reduce the cost of product R&D.Strengthen Stage-Gate control methods to reduce research and development risk.A separate deliverable is added to the product development process to upload the knowledge management system process to enhance experience accumulation and knowledge management capabilities.
