Concurrent engineering product development process (CEPDP), as the best practice of concurrent engineering (CE), has a vital meaning on enterprise to respond the market quickly and improve its core competition ability. After describes the actuality of CEPDP, its key technology is studied. The purpose and requirement of process modeling are put forward after analyzing the characteristic of CEPDP. The CEPDP model based on multi-view is creatively proposed whose kernel is process view. The model is comprised of process view, organization view, product view, resource view and constraint view. Their meaning and function in the model are analyzed in detail. The principle of coherence protection is summarized after study the internal relationship in all views. The conclusion is pointed out that product model evolves accompanied by the process model. The process based on product development is put forward using the theory of CE. The product model and the evolution of product and process are set up for product lifecycle. And the assembly topology tree and part topology tree are constructed. The elements and objects about integration of product and process are advanced and the objects of product and process are analysed in detail, and according those object the integrated model of product and process is founded. The reason for iteration in CEPDP is analyzed. The way of calculating work time under the circumstance of sequence iteration is described. The shortage of Boolean Design Structure Matrix (DSM) is pointed out that it only shows exist but not the degree of relation between the tasks. The paper advances an algorithm to realize the translating Boolean DSM to numeric DSM—task-dependence matrix (TDM) by fuzzy analytic hierarchy process (FAHP) according to the guideline of variety and sensitivity. Based on the TDM, the way of calculating work force and work time under concurrent iteration and the notion of concurrent degree are introduced. Two uncertain factors are advanced in the simulation of CEPDP, which are time and tasks' output branch. The process simulation scheduling strategy is introduced and the aggregate-project model, time model, resource model, queue model and task-delay model are setup. Based on the way of calculating work effort and time by using the tool of DSM, the simulation algorithm is realized and the result is analyzed in detail. Aim to schedul and allocate the resource for concurrent task, the mathematic is founded. The principle and solution are describled in detail for the model with mixed strategy combined with Genetic algorithms (GA) and the heuristic rules. At last combined with the application instance, the design and realization of the CEPDP management system are described. And the experience on how to implement the product lifecycle management successfully is introduced.
