Currently,the problem of traffic congestion is becoming more and more serious,which hinders the development of economic,destroys the ecological environment.The research on related theory and method of traffic system has attracted more and more attention.As a key research direction in the field of Intelligent Transportation System,the signal control of single intersection is very meaningful to solve the problem.However,the existing traffic signal control scheme can't adapt to the increasingly complicated traffic situation.In this paper,a traffic light timing design scheme based on time-varying universe is proposed to solve the problem,using time-varying universe theory to adjust the cycle and timing scheme dynamically,combining with linguistic dynamic theory to describe the dynamic evolution track,which proposed a new method to optimize traffic lights.Firstly,this paper introduces the theory of traffic signal control,evaluation index of traffic state and the related traffic flow theory,elaborates the theory of parallel system?linguistic dynamic system(LDS)and type-I fuzzy sets based on timing varying universe.On the basis of summarizing the current research situation,combining the ACP based parallel system framework,we proposed the traffic light system.Secondly,aiming at the computational experiment layer in parallel system,the variable cycle and variable phase order scheme are proposed under any possible condition.At last,aiming at a certain intersection,diffident scheme and linguistic dynamic orbits are given according to diffident traffic flow situation by analyzing the characteristics and historical data of traffic intersection.Finally,the feasibility and superiority of the method are verified by traffic simulation software.The method proposed in this paper has the following characteristics.Firstly,the domain of fuzzy sets changes with time to describe the situation in which traffic light timing cycle changes with traffic flow changes,and the membership function adjust dynamically according to the change of the cycle.Secondly,the fuzzy rules based of the timing scheme are based on the results of the computational experiments,which aim at shortening the average waiting time.Thirdly,the timing schemes in this paper are real-time,which means the timing cycle and timing for each phase adjust dynamically according to diffident traffic flow condition.At last,the time varying universe based linguistic dynamic system theory is used to describe the evolution process of dynamic traffic light timing design.
